3 Tips For Ordering
In general, restaurants order takeaway food to be fast, but the catering company can meet the different needs of customers, and can make specific menus and services according to customers' requirements. I know that many newcomers who order for the first time have a lot of questions, so I will discuss with you the 6 major points to note!
Food and drink is also something that needs to be considered. Many people are not really familiar with traditional catering services and think the event must be really big with large people in attendance to use a catering service. There are many small gatherings and mini-parties for 2 to 3 that would still use catering services now. Also, there’s a big difference between ordering takeaway vs a catering service.

Restaurants are all about being fast, cheap, and tasty but caterers provide customers with a more unique service that is able to cater to their needs. It becomes a much more personalized experience to tailor-made the food menu. On top of just being able to personalize services, catering companies are very insistent on quality of food, the packaging, temperature, and delivery times especially if the event is a wedding, corporate event, junk boat party, birthday party, or hundred days banquets. We know you must have a lot of questions especially if this is your first time ordering so here are 6 tips for you to consider.
1) How many people are participating in your event?

The number of participants you have at the event party directly affects the content of food ordereder, but we also understand that the number of participants may not be 100% accurate, especially for parties with a lot of people, many people are busy in Hong Kong and cannot give you a direct answer until really last minute such as junk boat parties, birthday parties, party rooms, etc. We fully understand the difficulty here so we suggest if you are ordering for a party of more than 10 people always order extra portions for 1 or 2 people. Of course, if you order takeaway through Smash Bros Catering Service, we will try our best to cooperate if you need to add or change the menu temporarily, just contact our staff through Whatsapp and we'll be happy to discuss about how to organize your next event smoothly.

Everyone has unique food preferences, some prefer Chinese, some prefer Western, some prefer spicy food and some don't eat beef or are vegetarians. Younger children may need simple or healthy options and the best food is sometimes boneless, some are afraid of heat or are on a diet. Weaker stomachs may not enjoy fried or greasy food. With so many different choices I bet you have a headache if your are in charge of organizing the event.

Don't worry tho. Smash Bros Catering Service has got you covered. First of all, think about who's the main person in this event. For example, if it's a farewell for a company colleague, what type of cuisine would they prefer? If it's a more public event maybe you can consider cuisine that is more mainstream that caters to a larger audience. For these types of occasions, one bite finger foods are perfect as it's easy and simple to eat. Not to mention the food items are usually smaller and more delicate too. If it's a family and friend gathering or staycation then this is super simple! Fewer people means it's easier to know what everyone likes to eat. Smash Bros Catering Services provides different types of cuisine from around the world! We're sure you can find something for your family or friends!
3. Portion Size

Catering menus will clearly list out the portion sizes: per pcs, the number of cups, or the weight (lbs, Kg), and having portion sizes help you easily manage how much to order. For example, if you have 12 people it makes sense to order at least 12 pcs of an item so everyone gets at least one. For heavy carb items like rice and pasta, usually they will come in portions of at least 1 lb but keep in mind there will be a lot of other items available. There's usually less demand for heavy carb items during these party events so you only really need to plan for half a pound of food for everyone. If the party has a lot of children it may be even less (1 lb can serve 4-5 kids).
